The construction is done, the finishing touches have been added and now with great anticipation we are moving in. The new facility at Alex Fraser Park has officially been named the Alex Fraser Park Agricultural Event Centre, commonly called the Ag Event Centre. It houses a 119 foot by 69 foot show arena overlooked by a 69 foot by 29 foot mezzanine floor adourned with glass windows for public viewing of events below. The mezzanine can host up to one hundred people for special events. When entering the main foyer, a large classroom size meeting room is to the left and a Park office is to the right. Washrooms are situated just off the foyer. To the south side of the complex is an animal treatment center suitable for washing livestock, doing veterinary procedures and providing ferrier services. Plans are underway to hire a part time administrative assistant to assist with administrative duties as well as anticipated facility rentals.
